STOCKHOLM – Rising junior Nicole Hall and alumna Jessica Adolfsson ’21 of the Penn State women’s hockey team will represent Team Sweden at the Four Nations Tournament, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Hall is one of 13 forwards, while Adolfsson is one of seven defensemen on the 22-player roster representing Sweden at the Four Nations Tournament, held Aug. 17-23 in Kloten, Switzerland. The tournament marks the first event of the 2026-27 Women’s Euro Hockey Tour. Sweden will compete against Finland, Switzerland, and Czechia.
Across her international career, Hall has represented Sweden in 80 games, recording 12 goals and 12 assists for 24 points. She progressed through Sweden’s national team program as a member of the U16 team in 2020 before serving as captain of Sweden’s U18 team at the 2022 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship, helping the team capture gold. Hall made her Olympic debut at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Games this past season, skating in all seven games.
Adolfsson has represented Sweden in 155 games, tallying 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points. She advanced through Sweden’s national team program and represented the country three times at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship. In 2015, she scored the most goals by a defenseman in the tournament (four). The following year, she helped Sweden capture a bronze medal at the World Championships, and earned a spot on the tournament all-star team after recording six assists and seven points, both tournament highs among defensemen. Adolfsson has also represented Sweden twice at the IIHF Women’s World Championship and made her second Olympic appearance at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Games this past season.
At Penn State, Hall has skated in 71 career games, totaling 18 goals and 14 assists for 32 points while helping Penn State capture its fourth consecutive Atlantic Hockey America championship, earn the program’s first NCAA tournament victory, and advance to its first NCAA Frozen Four.
Adolfsson concluded her playing career at Penn State, appearing in 68 games while tallying nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points. In her final season, she helped Penn State capture its first CHA regular-season championship after the Nittany Lions posted a 16-3-2 overall record and a 16-2-2 mark in conference play.
