UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men’s basketball team has revealed its 2026-27 non-conference schedule, which consists of eight home games, trips to the The Palestra in Philadelphia, the GIANT Center in Hershey, as well as a trip to Imperial Arena in the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament.
The Nittany Lions officially begin the 2026-27 slate under fourth-year head coach Mike Rhoades on Monday, Nov. 2, at the Bryce Jordan Center when Penn State hosts Canisius. Following a matchup with the Golden Griffins, Chattanooga makes the trip to Happy Valley on Thursday, Nov. 5, accounting for Penn State’s second game of the season.
Penn State will head to the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday, Nov. 8, for a Keystone State showdown with Pittsburgh inside the iconic “Cathedral of College Basketball,” The Palestra. Tickets are on sale here.
The Nittany Lions return to the Bryce Jordan Center for a three-game homestand that features games against Mercyhurst (Thursday, Nov.12), New Haven (Sunday, Nov. 15) and IU Indy (Wednesday, Nov. 18).
Thanksgiving week will take Penn State to paradise as the team heads to Paradise Island, Bahamas, for Battle 4 Atlantis. The three-day tournament runs Nov. 25-27 at Imperial Arena, where the Nittany Lions will take the court as part of an eight-team field that includes Marquette, Memphis, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Virginia, Wake Forest and Xavier. Penn State will return to Happy Valley for another three-game stretch in December, welcoming Albany to the Bryce Jordan Center on Tuesday, Dec. 1, before hosting UT Martin on Wednesday, Dec. 16, and Lafayette on Saturday, Dec. 19.
The Nittany Lions will wrap up their non-conference slate before the holidays with a trip to the “Sweetest Place on Earth”, Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, Dec. 22, taking on the Hawks of Saint Joseph’s at the GIANT Center. Ticket information will be available soon.
Tipoff times and television broadcast will be announced at a later date. The Big Ten schedule will be announced by the conference office in the coming weeks.
