UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's soccer program welcomed the first roster of the Rob Dow era, culminating in the announcement of 22 names. The squad includes two graduate students, three seniors, four juniors, seven sophomores, and six freshmen. By position, the Nittany Lions have rostered three goalkeepers, nine defenders, six midfielders, and four forwards.
GOALKEEPERS

GK | MIAMI, FLA. | HOMESCHOOL
A six-foot seven-inch tower in the net, Peluffo-Wiese enters Happy Valley as a freshman with numerous domestic and international training stints. In his youth, the Miami native competed for Cylcone Miami and Weston FC before beginning training with the New York Red Bulls academy team in 2018. From there, he went abroad to Germany, relocating in 2019 to sign with SpVgg Unterhaching in the Bundesliga system. He trained with the Fonsi until signing a one-year professional contract with Türkgücü München. After leaving Germany, Peluffo-Wiese signed with Serie D club Livorno before heading to Uruguay in 2024 to join Albion.
Peluffo-Wiese elected to play for Uruguay at an international level, his father's native country. He made his international debut for the Uruguayan national team with the under-20 squad on September 6, 2022, in a 3-1 friendly win over Uzbekistan. In October 2022, he was named in Uruguay's squad for the 2022 South American Games. He played two matches in the tournament as Uruguay eventually finished fourth after reaching the semi-finals.

A product of the Philadelphia Union Academy, Ross returns to his home state after spending a year at Clemson. The sophomore did not see action in his 2025 season, but got several rotations in spring ball for the Nittany Lions as the youngest member of the room.

A three-year Nittany Lion, Grundin is back in the Blue & White this season, rounding out the netminder room. The redshirt junior has appeared in seven games to date, making nine stops in his career.

A two year starter with the University of New Hampshire, Recinos arrives in University Park with 34 appearances under his belt, including 27 starts. The junior totaled two points as a defender across two seasons, both as assists. In 2024, he was tabbed an America East All-Rookie Team honoree and in 2025 earned America East Honor Roll distinction. After training with the Nittany Lions this spring, Recinos made his first career appearance for the Guatemalan Senior National Team in a friendly prior to the start of the 2026 World Cup.
Prior to starting his collegiate career, the Stamford, Connecticut native was a member of the New York Red Bulls from 2018-23, including the final two seasons being named to the second team. He also trained with the under-20 Guatemalan National Team.

D | EAST GRINSTEAD, ENGLAND | SACKVILLE SCHOOL
Known informally within the team as "Big Joe", Sheridan, at a towering 6' 6", was a steady presence for the PSU backline in his freshman year. He appeared in 14 games including 13 starts while clocking a full 90 in eight contests. Sheridan tallied his first collegiate point against Northwestern with an assist.

Förster joins Penn State after two seasons with Fortuna Düsseldorf. He worked his way up to the second squad in the Regionalliga as a mainstay in the defensive line. He has clocked 46 matches in the under-19 and under-17 Bundesliga with Bonner SC and Fortuna Cologne.

The most seasoned returner for the Blue & White, Marshall brings over 3,000 collegiate minutes, including starting in all but one match last season. To date, the senior has posted nine points on two goals and five assists across three seasons. In his three years in Happy Valley, Marshall has posted 35 starts and appeared in 50 contests.

Jumping into his first collegiate season, McNish comes from the New England Revolution development academy. In his time in the MLS Next Pro series, he appeared in four matches, clocking 139 minutes in the professional development league.
Around his time with the Revs, he also spent several seasons training with Trinidad and Tobago from the under-15 level through under-20.

A sophomore transfer from NC State, Weber comes to Penn State with one career appearance under his belt already. He spent his initial season in the United States on a run to the College Cup, where the Wolfpack finished as national runners up to Big Ten foe Washington in a 3-2 overtime battle. Before beginning his career in the states, Weber played with FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf in the Regionalliga Northeast in Germany.

Grant came down to Happy Valley alongside most of the coaching staff after being one of the most dominant freshmen in the America East last season. In his first year of action, he made an appearace in 18 matches including 12 starts. He lays claim to 2025 America East All-Rookie Team honors after helping guide the Catamounts to the number one overall seed in the 2025 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. Grant collected a pair of assists in 2025 while helping his team to 10 shutouts. He started in every conference match that saw Vermont concede just two goals during conference play, the fewest goals allowed in program history. Grant was also a part of the 2024 National Champion squad at Vermont.

Buckley began his development with the New England Revolution before training two seasons in the USL with Barca Academy and Orange County SC. During his time in Phoenix at the Barca Academy, his play impressed so much that he earned a training invite from La Masia, Barcelona’s famed academy in the Catalan capital. Buckley trained with the U-18 side “Juvenil B'' at La Masia. To date, he has two invites to United States Youth National Team regional identification camps.

A three-star defender per TopDrawerSoccer, Brown joins the Nittany Lions from the Utah Red Wolves Academy team. In high school, Brown was reconized as an Honorable Mention All-Region selection. With his squad, he was crowned a conference champion, regional champion, and sectional champion all en route to a third-place finish at states.

Sowinski comes to Happy Valley after leading Barca's under-19 squad in the MLS Next in scoring, clocking 15 goals across the season. In just his second-ever start in the USL with the same club, he put away a hat trick. Prior to training with the Barca Residency Academy, he also played with City SC.

A senior with MLS Next and Canadian Premier League experience, Mann transfers to Penn State from the University of British Columbia. During his collegiate years north of the border, he accumulated 40 appearances and made 34 starts. The midfielder put away ten goals in two seasons and added five assists for 25 points. He has posted nearly 300 minutes already in his collegiate career.

A product of the Philadelphia Union Academy, Hasan earned his way through the ranks all the way up to the second squad. Last season, he helped guide his team to the Dallas Cup title and in 2023 was crowned a GA Cup Champion.

McIntosh joins the Nittany Lions after three seasons with cross-state foe Duquesne. In his time with the Dukes, he appeared in 49 games making 46 starts. In his career, he dished six assists as a defensive midfielder.

A graduate of Loughborough University in Loughborough, England, Fielding played for the schools top team in his three seasons across the pond. A two-time captain for the university, he helped guide his team to a 17-game unbeaten streak in his first season to make the the playoffs and earn promotion to Step 4. In his first year as captian, his team was crowned BUCS national champions.

Another MLS Next prospect out of the Philadelphia Union academy, the three-star recruit competed in the same system as teammate Nehan Hasan. Doran has been twice rostered to the United States Men's National Team squad for the under-15 and under-16 rosters.

A 2025 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honoree at Rhode Island, Vojvodic clocked 1,042 minutes in his first season across 15 matches, including 13 starts. He led URI with five goals on the season and dished two more assists for 12 points.

Competeing for IMG Academy and Sporting Kansas City Academy in the MLS Next system, Mirakian has had strong development in his youth to prepare him for the collegiate game. In addition to his domestic work, he was invited by the Football Federation of Armenia to join the under-15 National Team team that competed in the UEFA International Development Tournament held in North Macedonia, in which Armenia faced the nations of Kosovo, Thailand and North Macedonia. He registered three international appearances, starting in each game.

Devloped in the SIMA and Houston Dynamo academies, Sterling finished 2026 as the Male Sports Performance Award winner at the Soccer Institute Montverde Academy. He was also crowned the Most Valuable Player for his high school team in 2022. Sterling is rostered with the Jamaican National Team.

Most recently competing with KFC Uerdingen in the Oberliga Niederrhein in Germany, Lasogga-Reck tallied 11 goals and dished 10 assists across 33 matches. In 17 of the 33 matches, he played a full 90. The striker also has experience in the Regionalliga West and under-19 and under-17 Bundesliga, totalling 19 points across 37 appearances across all levels.
About Penn State Men's Soccer
Penn State men's soccer is chasing its first Big Ten Tournament appearance since 2023 and its first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2021 season. The climb begins on Thursday evening when the team hosts Mercyhurst for the season opener.
