UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State swimming and diving head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron has added assistant swim coach Jackson Lustig to her coaching staff.
Lustig served as a graduate assistant coach at McKendree University in 2025-26 after a standout career there. He helped to lead the distance program, coaching a swimmer to break the NCAA Division II record in the 200 freestyle. He helped the Bearcats’ men’s team to a sixth-place finish in the 2026 NCAA Division II Championships. McKendree earned six All-American selections and two individual national titles.
At the 2025 NCAA Division II Championships, Lustig swept the butterfly events. He posted a personal-best 45.85 to win the 100 Butterfly and a 1:40.89 to win the 200 Butterfly. It was his third-straight national title in the 200 Butterfly, including an NCAA record mark of 1:40.75 in 2023. He also placed third in the 100 Butterfly in 2023.
Lustig also helped McKendree to secure national titles in the 400 Medley Relay in 2023 and 2024. He helped to break an NCAA record in the 400 Medley Relay in 2024.
In 2024, Lustig attended the US Olympic Trials, placing 24th in the 200 Butterfly.
