Big Ten Unveils 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Schedule

Nittany Lions set to host 10 league games inside the Bryce Jordan Center

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference released the 2026-27 men’s basketball schedule on Wednesday night. The Nittany Lions will host 10 league contests at the Bryce Jordan as part of the 20-game slate. 

Penn State’s conference schedule features five weekend home games at the Bryce Jordan Center, including Oregon on Saturday, January 2, Northwestern on Sunday, January 10, Maryland on Saturday, January 30, Ohio State on Saturday, February 6 and Rutgers on Sunday, March 7 to close out the regular season.  

The Blue & White open the 2026-27 Big Ten slate with a pair of December contests before the conclusion of nonconference play. Conference competition opens at home for the Nittany Lions as the team will welcome Nebraska to the Bryce Jordan Center on Tuesday, December 8 for the first of two games against the Cornhuskers. PSU will then travel to Illinois for a matchup against the Fighting Illini on Saturday, December 12. 

Penn State will bring in the new year at home against Oregon on Saturday, January 2 at the Jordan Center. The Nittany Lions will hit the road for the Twin Cities when the squad takes on Minnesota on Wednesday, January 6. PSU will return home to the Bryce Jordan Center to face Northwestern on Sunday, January 10. 

The Nittany Lions will play four of their next five games on the road starting with a trip to the Kohl Center, the home of the Wisconsin Badgers, on Wednesday, January 13. A few days later, the team will head to Columbus on Sunday, January 17 to face Ohio State for the first of two meetings.  

The Blue & White return home against the Purdue Boilermakers on Wednesday, January 20 at the Bryce Jordan Center before going back on the road for two games. The road trip begins in Iowa City for a contest against Iowa on Saturday, January 23 ahead of a matchup inside the Breslin Center against Michigan State on Tuesday, January 26. 

Penn State closes the month of January by matchup up with Maryland at the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday, January 30 as part of a three-game homestand. February begins with a contest against the Indiana Hoosiers on Tuesday, February 2 before PSU concludes its longest home stretch of Big Ten play with its second meeting with Ohio State on Saturday, February 6. 

The Nittany Lions will face Nebraska for a second time during the 2026-27 conference season on Friday, February 12 in Lincoln. The team will return to University Park on Wednesday, February 17 when the Blue & White face Washington at the Bryce Jordan Center. 

PSU will head east to Jersey Mike’s Arena to take on Rutgers on Saturday, February 20 in the first of two games between the Nittany Lions and Scarlet Knights in the final five Big Ten contests. The squad will quickly return home to the Jordan Center to meet Michigan on Tuesday, February 23. 

The Blue & White will make a West Coast trip to the City of Angels for games against UCLA on Saturday, February 27 and USC on Tuesday, March 2. Penn State will conclude the 2026-27 regular season at the Bryce Jordan Center against Rutgers on Sunday, March 7. 

The 2027 TIAA Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament tips off on Wednesday, March 10 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The tournament will run consecutively until the championship game on Sunday, March 14. 

Tipoff times and television broadcast designations for all Penn State men’s basketball games will be announced at a later date.
