LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Penn State men’s golf concluded play at the Windon Memorial Classic hosted by Northwestern University at Onwentsia Club on Tuesday finishing the week 30-over, 870, and in 16th position.
Kansas earned the top spot at 4-under, 836, edging out Washington by one stroke while Notre Dame (1-under) and Northwestern (5-over) finished third and fourth, respectively, with Charlotte and Indiana tying for fifth in the 16-team field at 6-over, 846.

Penn State was paced by freshman John Curran who finished tied for 55th at 8-over, 218, in his collegiate debut while Colton Lusk and Tim Peters carded 9-over, 219, for the week and finished tied for 61st.
Sophomore Jackson Saroney and senior Alex Creamean rounded out the scoring at 10-over and 11-over, respectively.
Lusk and Peters had the lone red figure rounds for the week with Lusk carding a 1-under, 69, during the opening round and Peters matching that 1-under, 69, during the final round.
Penn State returns to action next week when the Nittany Lions travel to Kentucky for the Cullan Brown Intercollegiate at Lexington County Club on October 5-6.
