UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State redshirt senior defensive end Caleb Bacon was tabbed Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Bacon had a dominant effort in Penn State’s 45-0 win over Marshall on Saturday.
Bacon earned his first career Big Ten weekly honor.

- Tallied six tackles, all in the first half, against Marshall.
- Contributed three tackles for loss and one solo sack.
- Had a pair of solo tackles for loss on back-to-back plays in the first quarter.
- Earned second career game with multiple tackles for loss.
- Helped Penn State to record its first shutout in a season opener since 2017 against Akron.
- Penn State recorded a shutout in a head coach’s debut game for the first time since 1915 (Dick Harlow, 26-0 vs. Westminster).
- Voted All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2025.
- Tabbed a semifinalist for the Comeback Player of the Year Award in 2025.
- Earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week on December 1, 2025.
- Owns 137 career tackles (76 solo), 19 career tackles for loss, seven career sacks and two forced fumbles.
