UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sophomore forward Nicole Hall has been named to Sweden’s Olympic women’s ice hockey roster ahead of the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games. Joining her is alum and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympian Jessica Adolfsson ’21 as both were named to Sweden’s roster Monday morning. Hall is the second current Nittany Lion named to the 2026 Winter Olympics, joining Tessa Janecke (USA). Her, Janecke, and Adolfsson make it three current or former Nittany Lions set to play in the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics.
Hall will be rejoining the Three Crowns with 15 games of international experience with the Swedish senior national team. The Stockholm native also captained Sweden’s U18 team for the World Championships in 2021-22. In her U18 career with Sweden she played in 38 games, totaling 17 points.
A 2021 graduate of Penn State, Jessica Adolfsson will rejoin Sweden with over 50 games played internationally with the Swedish senior national team. Adolfsson played in all five games for Sweden in the 2022 Beijing Olympics tallying one point from the blue line.
In Hall’s time in Happy Valley, she has been a consistent contributor with this season being the best of her career. Through 21 games, she has already surpassed her numbers from her rookie season, posting 14 points on eight goals and six assists. She is now fifth on the Nittany Lions in goals and sixth in plus/minus at +19.
Since graduating in three years from Penn State in 2021, Jessica Adolfsson has played professionally in the SDHL in her home country of Sweden while also playing one game with the Ottawa Charge last season in PWHL. She’s appeared in 147 games in the SDHL, notching 75 points. As a Nittany Lion she scored 26 points which is the seventh most by a defender in program history.
Hall, Adolfsson, and Team Sweden begin their quest for gold on February 5th, facing Germany to open the preliminary round. Sweden is in Group B along with Germany, Italy, France, and Japan.
