VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Penn State women’s golf team continued their stellar start to the fall season with a fourth-place finish in the 14-team field at the Evie Odom Invitational this weekend. The Nittany Lions fired a 4-over, 840, highlighted by a second round 9-under, 271.
The entire field battled 20 mph winds and some tougher conditions over the final 18 holes on Saturday with only seven individuals going under par and not one team carding red figures on the day. The Nittany Lions slid from second to fourth following a 12-over, 292.
North Florida held on to secure the title with an 8-under, 832, finish for the week while South Carolina (3-under) and South Alabama (1-under) finished just ahead of the Nittany Lions whiel Georgetown (16-over) rounded out the top-5.

Penn State was paced by sophomore Audrey Lam who was leading the tournament at one point during the second round on Friday and finished the week tied for 14th at even-par, 210. Lam opened the tournament with back-to-back rounds in red figures with a first round 3-under, 67, and second round 1-under, 69.
The Nittany Lions saw four players finish in the top-20 overall with all six players who tee’d it up this week finishing in the top-30.
Jiratchaya Jiratthitinun finished tied for 16th along with Lillian Guleserian, who competed as an individual this weekend. Jiratthitinun had the low round of the week for the Nittany Lions carding a 5-under, 65, during the second round on Friday and finished the week 1-over, 211. Guleserian went 73-68-70—211 for the week.
Freshman Madison Koshko continued the red hot start of her career finishing tied for 19 th at 2-over, 212, as she finished with a 2-over, 72, on Saturday following back-to-back 70s on Friday.
Sophomore Mara King and junior Hannah Rabb rounded out the team scoring for the week at 6-over, 216, and 7-over, 217, respectively, to tie for 26th and 29th.
Penn State takes the next week off before concluding the fall campaign at the French Board Collegiate Invitational in Asheville, N.C. on October 25-27.
