Stonehouse Named Atlantic Hockey America Forward of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior alternate captain Abby Stonehouse of the Penn State women's hockey team was named Atlantic Hockey America Forward of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning.

Stonehouse scored four goals in Penn State’s series sweep at RIT this past weekend, highlighted by her first career hat trick in Saturday’s 6-0 victory. Her three goals tied the program’s single-game record.

Stonehouse scored at even strength, on the power play, and shorthanded, marking the ninth known instance by an AHA player in the last eight seasons and seventh in conference play.

She is the first AHA player to accomplish the feat since Mercyhurst’s Julia Schalin did so against Lindenwood on Dec. 5, 2025, and the first Penn State player since Grace Outwater against Delaware on Oct. 10, 2025. Like Schalin, Stonehouse completed her hat trick with a shorthanded goal.

Stonehouse has recorded seven goals and seven assists for 14 points through 10 games this season. In 87 career games, she has tallied 30 goals and 22 assists for 52 points.

The recognition marks the first AHA weekly honor of Stonehouse’s career.
