High school
Lucas played at Bellefonte High School under head coach Duffy Besch. He was selected to the all-Nittany Division team as a quarterback. Lucas completed 132 passes for 1,841 yards while rushing for 350 more during his senior season. He added 15 passing touchdowns and five rushing scores. He played in the 2011 Lezzer Lumber Classic, where he threw for 101 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 29 yards. He was also on the wrestling team.
Personal
Full name is Tyler Wayne Lucas. The son of Rodney and Vanessa Lucas, Tyler has an older brother Kyle who is a linebacker for Penn State. Tyler enjoys working out and hanging out with friends and hopes to be an FBI agent, police officer or lawyer. Born on February 23, 1993 in Panama City, Panama.
