Having made a couple of position changes during his career, Nate Cadogan returned to offensive tackle during spring drills and is settling back into the position. A redshirt junior, Cadogan has seen time at tackle and tight end the past two seasons, making a touchdown catch in the 2010 matchup against Northwestern. With the graduation of four starters from the offensive line, Cadogan will enter preseason camp looking to resume the battle for playing time at left tackle. He brings good size, skills and strength to the field. A rehabilitation and human services major, Cadogan is one of the squad[apos]s best vocalists and a talented musician. The former Portsmouth High School standout is the brother of former Nittany Lion All-Big Ten tackle Gerald Cadogan. He is on schedule to graduate in May.
2011 Junior Season
Cadogan was playing on the offensive line during 2011 spring drills, but was shifted back to tight end once the season began. Cadogan appeared in games with Indiana State and Eastern Michigan.
2010 Sophomore Season
Cadogan began the season at offensive tackle, but was shifted to tight end in mid-October because of injuries to Gary Gilliam and Andrew Szczerba. He played in five games, making one huge catch for three yards and a touchdown. He made his first career appearance in the 41-31 primetime win over Michigan. Cadogan caught his first career pass, a three-yard reception for a touchdown in the third quarter, to help fuel the Nittany Lions[apos] rally from a 21-0 deficit against Northwestern. Cadogan[apos]s catch drew Penn State to within 21-14 en route to a 35-21 decision and Joe Paterno[apos]s 400th career win. Cadogan also saw action against Ohio State, Indiana and Florida in the 2011 Outback Bowl.
