AT A GLANCE
Thorpe made his presence known primarily on the denfensive end as a freshmen, but had spurts of explosive offensive efforts. A two-time Pennsylvania Class AAAA first-team selection, the 6-3, 180-pound Thorpe is a proven scorer and ball handler. One of the top Pennsylvania players in the class of 2013, he averaged better than 26 ppg in his final high school season. A true combo guard who will see time at the point-guard position, he combines effectiveness in the open floor and attacking the rim with a solid outside jumper and court vision. He is expected to challenge for playing time in a very strong Penn State backcourt.
