Michigan State (1/13): Scored game-high 20 points and had six rebounds. at Minnesota (1/19): Went 9-17 from the floor for game-high 27 points. Rutgers (1/26): Notched 25th career game with 20 or more points with 21. Iowa (2/3): Set career best with four blocks in the first half along with 17 points and five rebounds. Maryland (2/7): Performed efficiently going 10-12 from the field and added two triples for game-best 25 points. Michigan (2/21): Combined with Tony Carr for 40 points with 19 points and eight rebounds vs. No. 17 team. Temple-NIT (3/14): Helped lift Nittany Lions with 10 points, all in third quarter, with eight coming from charity stripe. at Notre Dame-NIT (3/17): Kept double-figure scoring streak alive with 11 points as PSU knocked off top-seeded Irish on the road. at Marquette-NIT (3/20): Notched career-best-tying and Penn State NIT single-game record 30 points with 10 coming in fourth quarter...Opened the final period with two-straight baskets and clamped down on MU rally with three straight in 67 seconds late in the game...Tied career-best field goal total with 14. Mississippi State-NIT  (3/27): Compiled a stat line in NIT semifinals that included 17 points, eight rebounds and a career-best tying six assists. Awards: Named B1G Freshman of the Week for Feb. 13 after victories over No. 24 Maryland (2/7) and at Illinois (2/11).
 
Season: Made history as one-third of trio of first Nittany Lions with freshman eligibility (Tony Carr, Stevens and Mike Watkins) to start in a season opener...Started in all 33 games...Led team in scoring eight times and rebounding seven times, finishing the year second on the team in scoring (12.7) and rebounding (5.5)...Scored in double figures 21 times...Increased point production in conference games with 12.5 points per game...Averaged 16.1 points in the final 11 games of the season, an average increase of five more points per game...Introduced a three-point shot into his repertoire and went 11-32 in the final 11 games.

George Washington (11/26): Scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half. Georgia Tech (11/29): Grabbed then-career-best nine boards and had 10 points. at Michigan (1/4): Scored game-high 16 points, 13 in first half, and shared top rebounder honors with nine. Michigan State (1/7): Had 18 points as top scorer in win at the Palestra. Indiana (1/18): Knotted up the game at BJC with two free throws with 4.6 seconds remaining. at Indiana (2/1): Scored then-career-best 26 points in triple overtime game with nine field goals and eight rebounds...Combined with Tony Carr for a second time as each had 20-plus point games. Maryland (2/7): Led three Nittany Lions in scoring with 25 points, the first of six-straight double-figure scoring games...Connected on eight field goals, including a triple, and eight free throws...Swiped a career-best three steals. at Illinois (2/11): Posted first back-to-back 20-point scoring games with 21.
