An Academic All-America candidate, Morrissey graduated in May of 2008 with a degree in finance and a grade-point average over 3.5. He has been Penn State[apos]s leading three-pointer shooter in each of the three previous seasons he has played and enters his final campaign sixth all-time with 175 career threes. He is on pace to end his career among the top three long range shooters in Penn State history. He led the Big Ten hitting 49.3 percent (32-71) from the arc in conference games in 2006-07 and looks to return to that form in 2008-09. A starter in 52 career games, Morrissey has played 91 in a Penn State uniform and owns a career three-point percentage of 38.9 percent. With 755 career points, he stands within range of becoming the Nittany Lions[apos] 29th career 1,000-point scorer. One of the Big Ten[apos]s top deep threats, he has 23 career games with three or more treys and has scored in double-digits 32 times. A strong spot-up shooter, he also brings defensive intensity and a high basketball IQ to the floor and is the team[apos]s top charge taker.

2007-08 SEASON JUNIOR
Led Penn State with 58 threes on the year and ranked 12th in the Big Ten making 1.87 threes per game...Posted eight double-digit scoring games and three games with five treys...Made 5-of-7 threes, including three during a 17-0 run to start the second half, as he scored 17 points in a 93-40 win over Canisius (11/16)...One of two Nittany Lions in double figures with 10 points and added three rebounds and a team-high tying three assists in a 79-67 loss at St. Joseph[apos]s (12/1)...Made three first half threes to keep Penn State in the game and 5-of-9 on the night for 15 points in an 89-86 OT win over Seton Hall (12/8)...Scored 13 points and sparked Penn State[apos]s defense in the second half with a steal and drawing charge on a 3-on-1 break-away in an 81-68 win over Lehigh (12/31)...Scored 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the arc in a 76-73 loss to Minnesota (1/12)...Two threes helped spark a 10-0 Penn State run that led to a 16-point lead midway through the second half...Scored 12 points making four three-pointers with five rebounds in a loss vs. Ohio State (1/29/08)...Scored 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the arc at Purdue (2/5)...Hit 4-of-5 from three and 5-of-6 from the floor for 14 points in just 18 minutes at Minnesota (2/24)...Scored 14 points (3-of-6 on 3[apos]s), going 5-of-5 at the line, and had two steals in comeback win over Iowa...Scored eight poins on a pair of threes, including one to put Penn State ahead in overtime, in a 68-64 upset of No. 17 Indiana (3/9).

2006-07 SEASON SOPHOMORE
Returned from a redshirt season in 2005-06 due to a knee injury to lead the Big Ten in conference games shooting 49.3 percent (35-71) from three...His overall season percentage of 44.1 percent (64-145) ranks tied for the fourth-best mark in Penn State history...Led Penn State in three-pointers and was third in scoring (9.6 ppg) and field goal percentage (46.6%)...Averaged 2.13 threes per game good for seventh in the Big Ten...Started 22 games on the year and played in all 30 averaging nearly 25 minutes per game...Named the Big Ten Player-of-the-Week (1/8) after shooting 80 percent from the field (16-20), 75 percent from three (12-16) and averaging 22.5 ppg in Penn State[apos]s first two Big Ten contests vs. Northwestern and at Purdue...Posted a career-best string of seven straight double-figure scoring games from Dec. 13 to Jan. 13...Posted 14 double-figure scoring games, three 20-point games and led Penn State in scoring four times...Reached a career-best six rebounds four times... Led the team with 12 points and tied his career-high with six rebounds in a loss to Stony Brook (11/17)...Scored seven points and had five rebounds and five assists in a win over UNC Greensboro (11/13)...Posted a game-high 21 points, including a career-best 6-of-6 from the foul line, while playing a career-high 42 minutes in a 63-60 overtime win over Bucknell (11/21)...Scored 14 of his points in the second half including back-to-back threes to give Penn State a 13-point lead early in the half...Scored eight-straight points in 25 seconds, including two threes, to help lead Penn State from an eight point deficit with 1:20 to play to a 65-61 win over St. Joseph[apos]s (11/25)...finished the game with 15 points, four assists and two rebounds...Scored 10 points and made a career high seven assists in a 77-73 loss at No. 21 Georgia Tech (11/28)...Scored 10 points, added five boards and led the team with four assists in a 66-45 win over Long Island (12/13)...Scored 12 points (10 in the second half) in a 69-66 loss to SE Louisiana (12/16)...Scored 13 points hitting 3-of-4 from the three-point arc in a 75-42 win over Maine (12/23)...Scored 10 points and added six assists in a 129-11 victory over VMI (12/30)......Hit 6-of-7 (85.7%) from three and 7-of-8 (87.5%) from the field, both career high percentages, for a team-high 21 points and added a team-high four assists in a 64-60 loss at Purdue (1/6)...Posted 13 points and equaled a career-high with six boards in an 84-74 loss to Indiana (1/13)...Made 3-of-5 threes, scored 11 points and tied a team high with three assists in an upset bid at No. 1 Ohio State (2/21)...Scored 10 points in 21 minutes, making a pair of threes, in a 94-63 loss at Indiana (3/3)...Named to the Academic All-Big Ten team.

2005-06 SEASON MEDICAL REDSHIRT
A medical redshirt season...Morrissey missed the entire 2005-06 campaign after tearing the patella tendon in his left knee while participating in a defensive drill the first week of practice (Oct. 21)...He underwent surgery to Oct. 27 and was back to full strength in the summer after an eight month rehabilitation...Morrissey suffered similar injury to his right knee during his freshman year of high school and had surgery to clean up that injury prior to the 2005-06 season...Earned Dean[apos]s List recognition with a GPA over 3.5 in the Spring.

2004-05 SEASON FRESHMAN
Morrissey was fifth on the team averaging 7.7 points per game and added 2.5 rebounds per contest...Came on very strong during the home stretch...A key offensive threat for Penn State he led the team in scoring five times and posted nine double-digit outings...Played an average of nearly 24 minutes per game and led the team with 53 three-pointers on 148 attempts hitting 35.8 percent from the arc...Began the year with four double-figure games in the season[apos]s first seven contests...His best offensive game was a 22-point contest vs. Minnesota (3/2), where he made seven-of-13 field goals including a season-best six three-pointers...Also had two 16-point games; one vs. Western Carolina (11/15) and one vs. Northwestern (1/22)...Scored 15 points on five-of-nine shooting from the arc at Purdue...During the season[apos]s last three weeks, Morrissey started all six games and averaged 10 points per contest during that stretch..Ended up among the Big Ten leaders in three-pointers per game (1.77) and averaged 8.3 ppg in Big Ten play.

HIGH SCHOOL
Morrissey earned four letters in high school basketball, two as a freshman and sophomore at Cleveland[apos]s University School and two at the IMG Group[apos]s Pendleton School in Bradenton, Fla., and helped his teams to an 87-16 mark...At the University School, Morrissey helped guide his team to a 19-5 mark as a freshman, averaging 14.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest...The next year, University went 20-4 with Morrissey hitting for 11.5 ppg and 4.0 rpg...He was named to the News-Herald All-Freshman Team and was an All-Cuyahoga County pick...Transferring to the Pendleton School for his final two high school campaigns, Morrissey promptly doubled his scoring average with 22.0 ppg and 7.0 rpg as a junior helping guide Pendleton to a 22-5 mark that year...His senior year Pendleton went 26-2 with Morrissey scoring 24.0 ppg and grabbing 8.0 rpg...Morrissey was named to five different all-tournament teams.

PERSONAL
Morrissey is the son of Jim and Mary Ellen Morrissey...Has two older brothers, Mike and Neil...Neil played football at Cornell University while his father played college basketball at the University of Tampa and John Carroll University...An outstanding student, Morrissey won the Yale Book Award at Pendleton and was on the Director[apos]s List for High Honors...He lists caddying and golfing as his favorite past-times...A finance major he earned Dean[apos]s List recognition in 2006 and carried a 3.55 cumulative grade-point average through the spring semester of 2007.
