A reliable and sometimes explosive scorer, Marshall has been Penn State[apos]s leading three-point shooter the last two seasons and enters his senior campaign with 108 threes on his career to rank 12th all-time at Penn State. An honorable-mention All-Big Ten selection and team captain last year, he will bring 857 career points, 46 double-digit scoring games and nine outings of 20-plus points into his final season as he looks to become the Lions[apos] 30th 1,000-point scorer and finish among the top 10 three-point shooters in program history. He will be among the top returning scorers in the Big Ten, having ranked sixth last year (15.3), and has led the Lions in steals the last two seasons, finishing seventh (1.5 spg) in the Big Ten last year. A long armed, slick passing, crafty scorer and a good penetrator and finisher, Marshall has also established himself as a valuable team leader and will be part of the nucleus of one of the best backcourts in the Big Ten.
'Jermaine has really grown and matured on and off the floor over the past year to become one of the leaders of this team. His growth as a player has mirrored that. He may be our best perimeter shooter. He has a deceptive pace to his play, but he can get past defenders and is great finisher with long arms.'
