A two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and Dean[apos]s List student, Kirkpatrick has been a physical and energetic practice player since joining the team as a walk-on in 2007-08. The Cumberland Valley High School standout has seen action in 18 career games scoring his first career bucket vs. Hartford in 2008. His positive attitude and work ethic are a valuable part of the team and his 3.53 grade-point average in finance earned him the team[apos]s Academic Achievement Award in 2010.
2009-10 JUNIOR
Kirkpatrick earned the Scholastic Achievement Award after posting a 3.5 grade-point average for the 2009 Fall semester...Saw action in six games on the season with a high of four minutes in the Lions[apos] victory over Gardner-Webb (12/19)...earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the second time.
2008-09 SOPHOMORE
Kirkpatrick saw action in a career-most eight games and scored four points and grabbed five rebounds on the season...Scored his first collegiate basket in a victory over Hartford (11/20)...Also posted two points and two boards in a victory over Lafayette (12/21)...Posted a 3.53 GPA in the fall semester to earn Dean[apos]s List recognition and was named to the Big Ten All-Academic team.

In his first year with the Lions, Kirkpatrick lettered and played in four games.

A three-year lettermen and two-year starter at Cumberland Valley High...Kirkpatrick earned first team All-Sentinel from the Carlisle Sentinel and was named All-Mid Penn by the Harrisburg Patriot-News his senior year as he helped the Eagles to an 18-10 record and to the state playoffs for the first time in five years...Also named to the Big 15 by the Patriot-News and was chosen by PAHoops.org to represent Pennsylvania in the Pennsylvania vs. New Jersey All-Star game...Averaged 18 points and seven rebounds per game as a senior....Earned third team All-Sentinel and Big 15 honorable-mention as a junior while posting 13 points and seven rebounds a game...team captain his junior and senior seasons...Named tournament MVP of the 2006 Ephrata Christmas Tournament after hitting game winning three-pointers at the buzzer in back-to-back games...Named to the Patriot-News All-Underclass Team as a sophomore...A member of the National Honor Society and National Foreign Language Honor Society...Served as class treasurer and representative...Named Mechanicsburg Area Rotary Club Student of the Month in 2006.
