Zach Cooper graduated from Penn State in May 2014 with a degree in communications arts & sciences.
AS A SENIOR(2013-14)
- Made first career start on Senior Night vs. Ohio State, playing one minute
- Saw first glimpse of action in the final minute of the Lions[apos] game at Penn and has made six appearances on the season ... First career Big Ten minute came in loss at Nebraska (2/20/14)
- Heralded by head coach Patrick Chambers for his energy and commitment to doing what[apos]s needed to make the team better
AS A JUNIOR(2012-13)
- Saw action in one game, vs. New Hampshire (12/23), on the year
- Was a very hard working and positive contributor in practice helping to run the scout team.
PREVIOUS COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
Cooper played the 2011-12 season at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Fla., seeing action in 12 games and logging 11 points and five rebounds on the season...spent two seasons at Gulf Coast, sitting out his first, and earned his associate degree from the two-year community college...played the 2009-10 season at Alfred University in western New York, seeing action in eight games and scoring five points and grabbing five rebounds for the Division III Saxons.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2009 graduate of Urbana High School (Md.), Cooper was a first-team all-county and All-Gazette selection and an honorable-mention All-Met pick after leading the Hawks in scoring in his senior campaign...Urbana posted a 20-5 record that season...was a two-year varsity player at Urbana and was a team captain his senior year.
