Niagara (10/21): Recorded a 23-save shutout, the fourth of his career, tying the Penn State record. vs. No. 6 North Dakota (10/30): Stopped 28 shots in a 6-4 victory during the 2021 US Hockey Hall of Fame Game at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. No. 2 Michigan (11/11): Had a secondary assist on the lone goal during a 5-1 setback. at No. 7 Minnesota (11/19): Registered one assist and stopped 32 shots in a 5-3 victory. at St. Thomas (11/23): Stopped 13-of-14 shots in a 5-1 win. Michigan State (12/3): Stopped 30-of-32 shots in a 4-2 victory. at Wisconsin (12/11): Achieved his first overtime win tallying 20 saves. at Army West Point (1/1): Made 29 stops in a 5-3 win. Wisconsin (1/22): Tallied one assist while making 20 saves in a 7-2 win.
2020-21 • JUNIOR SEASON
Awards: Named a 2020-21 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an Academic All-Big Ten honoree...Named Penn State’s 2020-21 Sportsmanship Award honoree.
Season: Started all 18 games he played posting a 9-9-0 record...Had an .894 save percentage and a 3.13 goals-against average...Tied for the sixth-most single-season victories in program history with nine...Tied for the seventh-most single-season games played and games started by a goaltender...Ended the year on a career-long 12-game starting streak.
at Minnesota (11/19): Became the fifth-different Nittany Lion goaltender to start a season opener. Michigan (12/3): Recorded 23 saves to secure his first career Big Ten victory. Arizona State (12/11): Made 30 stops in a 3-2 overtime victory. at Michigan State (1/3): Completed a 23-save shutout in a 1-0 victory, his third-career shutout and his first in Big Ten play. at Ohio State (1/9): Stopped 26 shots in a 5-2 win. Michigan State (1/15): Secured a 3-2 win with 26 saves in the first night of a weekend sweep. Michigan State (1/16): Stopped 20 shots in a 3-1 win to completed the weekend sweep. Wisconsin (1/22): Stopped 31-of-35 shots, including a career-best 21 in the second period, in a 5-4 win. Notre Dame (1/28): Made 31 saves to secure a 2-1 overtime victory. Notre Dame (3/14): Stopped 33 shots for his first-ever Big Ten tournament victory with a 6-3 win in the quarterfinals. Wisconsin (3/15): Made a career-high 41 saves during a 4-3 overtime setback to the top-seeded Badgers.
2019-20 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Awards: Named a 2019-20 Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
Season: Made five appearances with four starts and a 2-1-1 record...Had a .930 save percentage and a 1.87 goals-against average...Tied the single-season program record with two shutouts...Set program record for longest scoreless streak going 167:09 from November 29, 2019, through January 18, 2020, without allowing a goal...Postseason cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
at Merrimack (11/29): Completed a 16-save shutout in a 7-0 road victory for his first career victory and shutout. at Michigan (12/6): Came into the game off the bench and saved all seven shots faced. Niagara (1/4): Secured 2-0 victory with a 24-save shutout for his second shutout of the season. Michigan (1/18): Stopped career-high 40-of-44 shots in 4-4 tie...Made a career-high 19 saves in the first period.
2018-19 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Season: Made three appearances with one start all in Big Ten play.
Notre Dame (12/7): Made his collegiate debut with 16 stops and allowed a pair of goals. at Michigan (1/24): Stopped a then career-high 31 shots in his first collegiate start. at Michigan State (2/15): Registered 12 saves allowing just one goal in final 28:56.
BEFORE PENN STATE
Spent the 2017-18 season with the Chicago Steel of the USHL, making 46 total appearances in regular season and postseason...Compiled a combined 23-18 record with a 2.93 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage…Named to the 2018 USHL All-Rookie Team…Played parts of three seasons with the Espoo Blues U20 team and was a member of the Junior National Team of Finland.
