Season: Skated in 38 games... Tallied career highs in each offensive category with 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists.
 
Mercyhurst (10/13): Registered one assist in a 4-1 victory.  No. 1 Michigan (11/04):  Assisted on a goal in a 3-0 victory. No. 1 Michigan (11/05):  Tallied an assist in a 4-3 loss. at No. 1 Minnesota (11/10):  Netted a goal in a 4-2 victory. No. 1 Minnesota (11/11): Scored a goal in a loss of 3-1. No. 17 Michigan State (11/19): Registered one goal and one assist in a 7-3 loss. Alaska (11/22): Collected his first career short-handed goal, the game-winning goal, and tallied one assist in a 3-2 win. Alaska (11/23): Registered an assist in a 2-1 victory. at Notre Dame (12/10): Scored a goal in a 5-3 loss. RIT (12/31): Tallied an assist in a 3-1 victory. at No. 17 Michigan State: Recorded an assist in 4-4 tie. Notre Dame (1/21): Scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory. at No. 7 Michigan (1/27): Assisted a goal in 7-3 loss. No. 2 Minnesota (2/17): Scored once in 7-2 loss. No. 2 Minnesota (2/18): Registered one assist in a 3-2 overtime loss.

2021-22 • SOPHOMORE SEASON

Awards: Earned 2021-22 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar accolades...Named a 2021-22 Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

Season: Skated in all 38 games... Tallied five goals and a career high seven assists fo a career best 12 points.

LIU (10/4): Scored the eventual game-winning goal while adding an assist in a 5-2 victory. Canisius (10/9): Scored the game-winning goal in a 5-2 win. at No. 7 Minnesota (11/19): Registered the game-winning goal in a 5-3 win. at No. 7 Minnesota (11/20): Notched one assist in a 4-2 defeat. Michigan State (12/3): Recorded one goal in a 4-2 win. at Army (1/1): Collected one assist in a 5-3 win. at No. 4/5 Michigan (1/15): Scored one goal in a 4-3 loss. Wisconsin (1/21): Tallied one assist in a 4-1 win. Wisconsin (1/22): Registered one assist in a 7-2 victory. No. 12/12 Ohio State (3/4): Collected one assist in a 4-3 defeat. No. 2/2 Minnesota (3/12): Recorded one assist in a 3-2 loss.

2020-21 • FRESHMAN SEASON

Season: Skated in 21 games...Led all freshmen and finished sixth on the team in scoring with 11 points on five goals and six assists...Ended the year on a season-best three-game point streak.

at Minnesota (11/20): Registered his first career goal as a Nittany Lion. Michigan (12/3): Tallied one assist in a 9-5 win. Arizona State (12/13): Scored a goal in a 5-4 win. at Ohio State (1/9): Recorded the first multi-point game of his career with two assists in a 5-2 win. Michigan State (1/15): Scored one goal in a 3-2 win.  Wisconsin (1/22): Added one assist in a 5-4 win. at Notre Dame (3/6): Scored the lone goal of the game in a loss. Notre Dame (3/14): Tallied the opening goal to ignite a comeback victory in the Big Ten quarterfinals. Wisconsin (3/15): Had a pair of assists in a 4-3 overtime loss.

BEFORE PENN STATE

Served as alternate captain for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL in 2019-20…Ranked second on the team with 44 points, a mark good for 21st in the league and his 21 goals tied for 13th… Led the team with 21 goals while adding 23 assists...In 2018-19, played for the Chicago Steel scoring 14 goals while adding 13 assists for 27 points in 61 games…A product of the North Jersey Avalanche organization.

PERSONAL

Son of Grace and Tony Sarlo…Has one older brother, Josh, and two older sisters, Isabella and Gabrielle…Brother, Josh is currently a member of the hockey team at Division III Tufts University…Majoring in journalism.
