After a successful playing career as a Nittany Lion midfielder, Callum Pritchatt joined the Penn State men’s soccer staff in August 2021 as Volunteer Assistant and was promoted to Director of Player Development in June 2022.
Pritchatt helps with all aspects of the program including: session planning, individual player development, opposition scouting, video analysis and breakdown, recruiting, camp planning and team logistics. He also assists in selecting and purchasing team apparel and equipment, budget operations, scholarship planning, and overall management and organization of the team’s email inbox.
In his first season on the staff in 2021, Pritchatt assisted the team to both the 2021 Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. Penn State also advanced to its third-straight NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1993-95. The staff was named the United Soccer Coaches North Region Staff of the Year for the historic season.
Alongside his coaching commitments with the Nittany Lions, Pritchatt is also the Technical Director of Celtic Soccer Club based in State College. Pritchatt is responsible for all aspects of the club’s logistics, philosophy, and teams and players development.
Prior to Penn State, Pritchatt competed for West Bromwich Albion in England from 2012-2017. During his time, Pritchatt appeared for every age group in the academy before making several appearances for the reserve team, and 2 first team appearances in the EFL cup.
As a student-athlete, Pritchatt played in 59 career games for the Nittany Lions in midfield from 2017-20. He scored four goals and added seven assists, including leading the team in back-to-back seasons (2017-18) in assists.
Pritchatt graduated with a bachelor's degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management from Penn State with a Minor in Sports Studies in December 2020 and graduated with a Master's in Higher Education with an Emphasis on Coaching in December 2021.
