2022-23 (Freshman Year)
- Blue/White Intrasquad Meet (9/16): Contributed to the 400 Medley Relay finish at 1:33.46.
- NC State Invitational (11/17-19): Swam the 100 Fly at 49.58, and later the B-Final for the 200 Fly at 1:50.97.
- Big Ten Championships (2/22-25): Swam in the final events for the 100 Fly for a 48.95 finish, taking three points for that event. On the final day of competition, Bolang swam the 200 Fly finals at 1:46.49 in the B-Final, climbing to ninth fastest in men's program history.
2023-24 (Sophomore Year):
- St. Bonaventure (9/30): Touched second in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:50.91, and finished third in the 100 Fly with a time of 49.08.
- B1G Championship (2/29-3/2): Recorded two personal best times in the 50 Free with a 21.69 and the 100 Fly with a 48.25.
2024/25 (Junior Year):
High School
Bolang swam for Pinckney Community High School under the direction of coach Laura Eibler. Individually, Bolang broke two conference records and won nine conference championships while in high school, and Pinckney was a two-time conference champion as well as placing fourth overall at the state championships while Bolang swam for the program. Bolang was also named an academic scholar all four years during his time at Pinckney and a distinguished member of the National Honors Society, Class Council and Positive Peer Influence.
Personal
Erik is the son of Matt and Christine Bolang. His sister, Molly, who plays soccer at Michigan Tech achieved All-GLAIC First Team honors last season. Previously, Bolang swam for Club Wolverine, a top 25 club swimming team in the nation, for seven years where he was a two-time Scholastic All-American and eight time state champion under coaches Gunnar Schmitt and Josh Wood.
