LION CAREER
2008-09 (Sophomore): Set new personal bests in 200 butterfly (1:48.21), 200 IM (1:48.76), and 400 IM (3:52.58) at the Big Ten Championships...Finished 15th in the 400 IM, 20th in the 200 fly and 200 IM...Finished second against Texas A&M in the 200 fly with a time of 1:52.47...Member of fifth-place 200 medley relay squad at SMU (1:39.77)...Posted 11th-place showing at OSU Invitational in the 200 butterfly.
2007-08 (Freshman): Excelled in the butterfly and IM events in his freshman campaign...Picked up a first-place finish in the 200 fly and the 200 IM against West Chester...Best times all came at the Big Ten Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Swam for four years at Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, Pa., and was also on the water polo team for four years...Swimming team had a four-year dual record of 25-7...Helped lead team to the Eastern Championship in both 2005 and 2006 and a second place finish in 2007...As a sophomore, named the recipient of the Lons R. Spealer Award for achievement...Qualified for Junior Nationals his junior year in the 400 IM and 200 fly...Won his second Spealer award as a senior as well as the KIT award for being the top performance individual in relays ...Won the Eastern Championship in the 200 IM, and was part of the 200 freestyle relay as a senior while also qualified for Senior Nationals in the 200 IM.
