2023-24 (Senior Year):
- St. Bonaventure (9/30): Touched first with the 200 Medley relay team, followed by a second place finish with the 400 Free relay.
- Navy (10/7): Anchored the first place finishing 200 Medley relay. Added a third place finish in the 50 Free with a 20.86 time.
- Big Al Invitational (12/1-12/3): Anchored the victorious 2o0 Medley relay that finished in 1:18.00. Swam for a personal best in the 100 Fly with a time of 48.72.
- Virginia Tech/Princeton (1/20): Swam in the 200 Medley relay that finished second on the day.
- Villanova (2/2): Touched second in the 50 Free with a 21.12 time, and contributed to a second place finish in the 200 Free relay.
- B1G Championship (2/29-3/2): Swam for two personal bests; a 20.13 finish in the 50 Free, as well as a 54.32 finish in the 100 Breast.
2022-23 (Junior Year)
- Blue/White (9/16): Placed second in the 50 Free (21.21), and in the 200 Free Relay (1:24.25) with a split time of 20.93. Won the 100 Free at 46.29.
- Boston College/Navy (10/8): Placed second in the 400 Free Relay at 3:00.76, and sixth overall in the 200 Medley Relay (1:33.04). In the 100 Breast, Hurley placed fifth at 56.36 and later third overall in the 100 Free (45.75).
- Pittsburgh/Notre Dame (10/21-22): In the 400 Medley Relay, Hurley contributed to a second place finish at 3:15.36, and later another second place finish in the 200 Free Relay (1:21.39). Touched third in the 200 Medley Relay (1:29.19) and second overall in the 400 Free Relay (2:59.96). In the individual races, Hurley placed fourth in the 100 Free at 45.12, and later fifth in the 50 Free (20.70).
- West Virginia (11/5): Started out with a win in the 200 Medley Relay at 1:29.52. Touched fourth in the 100 Breast (57.15) and second in the 100 Free (45.13). Finished up with another relay win in the 400 Free Relay (3:00.10).
- N.C. State Invitational (11/17-19): Touched fourth in the 200 Free Relay at 1:18.63, and later helped knock 6.02 seconds off their preliminary race in the final events of the 200 Free Relay (3:09.94). In the individual events, placed sixth in the C-Final of the 50 Free (20.55). Placed fifth in the C-Final of the 100 Breast (56.46), and third in the D-Final in the 100 Free (45.05). Closed the invite with a seventh place finish in the 400 Free Relay (2:55.62).
- Army (1/13): Landed a win in the 200 Free Relay (1:20.45).
- Virginia Tech (1/21): Found a second place finish in the 100 Free (44.98). In the relays, contributed to a second place finish in the 400 Medley Relay (3:10.98), and later a win for the 200 Free Relay at 1:19.49.
- Villanova (1/27): Contributed to a win in the 200 Medley Relay at 1:28.45, and another win for the 100 Breast (56.58).
- Big Ten Championships (2/22-25): Placed eighth in the 200 Medley Relay (1:25.89) for 44 points on the board. Jumped to fifth place in the 400 Medley Relay at 3:07.75 for 50 points. In the individual events, completed the 100 Breast at 54.46, and later competed in the 200 Free Relay for a seventh overall finish at 1:18.63. In the 400 Free Relay, contributed to a sixth place finish at 2:55.39.
2021-22 (Sophomore Year)
- Villanova (1/28): Won the 50 Free (20.67) and finished third in the 100 Free (45.41).
- NC State Invitational (11/18-20): Finalist in the 50 Free (20.29) and the 100 Breast (56.68).
- West Virginia (10/16): Led Penn State to sweep the 100 Breast, winning in 57.01.
- Navy (10/9): Helped the Nittany Lions sweep the 100 Free by finishing second (45.67).
2020-21 (Freshman Year)
- Big Ten Championships (3/1-3/6): Swam for three career-bests in the freestyle preliminary events, 50 free (20.65), 100 free (45.71), and 200 free (1:39.50).
- Michigan State (2/5-2/6): Won the 50 fly (22.34).
- vs. Northwestern and Iowa (1/22-1/23): Member of the 200 medley relay team that swam for a fifth-place finish (1:30.47).
High School
Hurley swam club for North Baltimore Aquatic Club and holds the state record in the 4x200 free and the 4x50 medley relays. He was also a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
Thomas James Hurley is the son of Shawn and Rudy Hurley and has an older brother Ryan and younger sister Caitlin. His mother, Rudy, swam at Clemson University. Hurley is majoring in mechanical engineering.
