Russell Bader joined the Penn State coaching staff in 2014-15 as a Graduate Assistant. Bader graduated from Penn State with a degree in Finance in 2014 after playing on the team from 2010-2014. Bader finished his college career as one of the top players in program history. He sits in third place on the all-time singles wins list at Penn State with 95 career victories and is second all-time in doubles wins with 81. Bader qualified twice in his career for the NCAA Doubles Championships, pairing with Jason Lee in 2012 and Leonard Stakhovsky in 2014. As a senior, Bader won 27 doubles matches, the second-most in a single season in program history, and 28 singles wins, the third-most in school history. In 2014, Bader was named ITA Atlantic Region Most Improved Senior and second team All-Big Ten after leading the team to a school-record 22 wins and an NCAA Tournament Appearance.
