2019-20 (Senior)Lakoseljac earned a 5-3 singles record and 10-2 doubles record. Lakoseljac competed in one fall tournament, the UVA Blue and Orange Classic, going 1-1 in singles and 2-0 in doubles with partner Christos Antonopoulos. The duo continued their success in the spring with a 6-2 record at the top spot in the lineup. The pair achieved a season-high ITA doubles ranking of No. 29. In singles the Lakoseljac native earned a 4-2 record at the top lineup spot. He earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors. Spring season shortened due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2018-19 (Junior)
Lakoseljac had his best season as a Nittany Lion, with dominant performances in the fall and spring seasons. The first half of his season was highlighted by advancing to the round of 16 at the Big Ten Indoor Championships. He also earned a doubles win at the tournament with partner Christos Antonopoulos, after defeating Purdue. Lakoseljac posted an impressive 20-5 record at No. 2 singles as well as a 1-0 record at the No. 1 spot. He also defeated two ranked players and went 8-2 in the Big Ten. In doubles, Lakoseljac earned an overall 18-10 record, going 12-5 at the No. 3 spot with Christos Antonopoulos. Lakoseljac ended the season with two Big Ten Athlete of the Week awards as well as First-Team All-Big Ten honors.
2017-18 (Sophomore)
Christian proved his value to the team after a dominant 21-9 overall singles record. The Princeton Ivy Plus Invitational brought success with him winning his respective singles flight as well as his double draw with partner Constant De La Bassetiere. During the ITA All-Americans, he advanced to the second round of the qualifying draw. At the ITA Regionals, the No. 18 ranked doubles pair of Lakoseljac and De La Bassetiere advanced to the quarterfinals of the main doubles draw. In the spring, Christian posted a 15-7 singles record, defeating three ranked teams including Big Ten rival, No. 50 Wisconsin. Christian continued his success from the fall with De La Bassetiere to go 10-9. Christian also knocked off No. 6 Illinois with partner Ben Lieb toward the end of the season Christian was awarded Second-Team All-Big Ten honors at the end of the season.
2016-17 (Freshman)
Christian had a great freshman season, splitting time almost evenly between singles and doubles. He stayed at the No. 1 doubles slot almost all of the spring season posting a 13-12 record, with nine of those wins coming from play with Constant De La Bassetiere. The dynamic duo also defeated No. 16 Michigan, a No. 78 ranked UCF doubles pair, and a No. 16 ranked pair from Purdue during the spring. In the fall, Lakoseljac and De La Bassetiere advanced to the semifinal round of doubles at the ITA Regional Championships. Christian had a 19-15 singles record after primarily playing at the No. 1 and 2 spot. In the spring season he had many come from behind wins propelling him to a winning record. He also defeated No. 16 Michigan in singles after dropping the first set then dominating the next two. Lakoseljac also defeated No. 115 Josh Silverstein of Iowa. In the fall, Christian advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Regional Championships.
Before Penn State
Christian Lakoseljac, from Ontario, Canada, picked up the sport of tennis at the age of six. Lakoseljac was active as a young athlete; playing hockey, soccer, and tennis for several years until, at 12 years old, he decided to play tennis full time. A year later, Christian won the European U14 tour Amstel Park Open singles and doubles titles in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He captured the Orange Bowl U16 doubles title at the age of 15 and, in the same year, earned four provincial titles and won his very first doubles ITF in his hometown of Ontario. The next year Christian won his first singles ITF in Edmonton. Following that victory, he earned two more doubles ITF titles back to back - one in Vancouver and one in Burlington. In 2015, Lakoseljac finished fifth in the under-18 group at the Canadian National Championships. In 2016, he won the Canadian National Championships in the under-18 group in both singles and doubles. Christian also earned some big wins on the Futures Tour and played his first Futures Doubles final in Saskatoon. Most recently, in August 2016, Lakoseljac played his first Masters 1000 in Toronto at the Rogers Cup.
