2022 • SENIOR SEASON
Season: Tallied 23 kills in six matches which included a pair of starts…Hit at a .500 rate…Had 10 blocks.
St. Francis (2/19): Scored three kills and a pair of blocks off the bench in season debut. Sacred Heart (3/26): Had a season-high eight kills off the bench at a .545 rate…Had three blocks, including set-clinching stuff in extended second set. Saint Francis Brooklyn (4/8): Named Mike Anderson Player of the Match on senior day thanks to an errorless six-kill performance with three blocks.
2021 • JUNIOR SEASON
Season: Started all of his 25 matches played...Scored 85 kills with a .333 hitting percentage...Finished second on squad with 51.0 blocks...Had at least one kill in every match played...Finished with a block in 21 matches including 19 with multiple stuffs.
NJIT (2/13): Put down season-high eight kills, two aces and tallied two blocks in four-set win. No. 12 George Mason (2/26-27): Totaled 13 kills without an error to hit .722 in home series sweep...Added three aces and four blocks in series. at No. 11 NJIT (3/19-20): Recorded three blocks in both games of the road series...Had six total kills with no errors.
2020 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Season: Played in nine total matches with seven starts...Started seven of first eight matches of season...Posted 28 kills while hitting .233...Recorded 18 total blocks at 0.69 blocks per set...Season shortened and no championship held due to COVID-19 pandemic.
at No. 3 BYU (1/10): Hit .375 with four kills and a pair of service aces in season opener. at No. 5 Lewis: Tied single-match best with nine kills while hitting .438 in reverse sweep comeback.
2019 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Season: Selected to USA Volleyball Men’s Junior National Team for Pan Am Cup in Chile…Played in 27 matches for Nittany Lions, including 26 starts, with 90 total sets played…Hit .510 with 87 kills and only 12 attack errors…Tied for second on the team with 53 total blocks…Posted at least one kill in 25 matches and a one block in 21 matches...Had 24 blocks in a six-game span (2/24-3/15).
at No. 8 Ohio State (1/5): Started in his collegiate debut…Finished with three blocks and two digs. at Charleston (2/24): Had seven kills on seven attacks and recorded six blocks. NJIT (3/2): Tallied seven kills on eight attacks without an error along with three blocks. at No. 13 Purdue Fort Wayne: Set a season high with seven blocks. vs. George Mason (4/18): Put down a season-best nine kills while hitting .615 in five-set win in EIVA semifinals.

Full name is Canyon Dean Tuman…Parents are Molly and Jerame Tuman…Molly (Dreisback) was an outside hitter for the U.S. National Team in 1997-98…Jerame played 10 seasons in the NFL as a tight end with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals (1999-2008) after his collegiate career at Michigan (1995-98)…Has three sisters, Avery, Makenna and Mia…Majoring in recreation, park, and tourism management.
