Journeymen (11/12): Rolled to 3-0 mark in season opener, including pin, 4-1 win over #13 Vince Cornella of Cornell and 15-3 major over #12 Malyke Hines of Lehigh. Black Knight (11/19): Went 4-0, including three pins, to win title. Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week (11/21). Lehigh (12/3): Majored Carter Bailey 14-6. Oregon State (1/5): Battled #25 Cleveland Belton into extra time and notched an 8-5 (sv) win. Indiana (1/14): Late takedown and back points for 8-1 win over #23 Danny Fongaro. Michigan (1/19): Picked up a 7-5 win over #25 Sergio Lemley. Michigan State (1/21): Scored eight points in the third period to post 8-2 victory over #33 Jordan Hamdan. Maryland (1/28): Majored #17 Kal Miller 11-1. Ohio State (2/2): Moved through neutral danger for takedown and a 4-1 sudden victory win over #3 Jesse Mendez. Iowa (2/9): Dominated #2 Real Woods 7-2 in Iowa City. Rutgers (2/12): 4-1 win over Max Hermes in 2024 BJC Dual. Nebraska (2/18): Two early takedowns in a 9-6 win, with riding time, over #7 Brock Hardy. Edinboro (2/25): Pinned Jacob Brenneman (4:11).
Big Ten Championship (3/9-10): Went 2-1 to place second, dropped 4-1 decision to #3 Jesse Mendez of Ohio State in finals.
NCAA Championships (3/21-23): Earned NCAA runner-up status to become two-time All-American. Won first four matches to advance to national finals, including two pins and a 5-1 win over #6 Lachlan McNeil of North Carolina. Lost on last-second takedown to #1 Jesse Mendez of Ohio State in NCAA title bout.
2022-23 / JUNIOR SEASON:
Season: Superb 27-3 record as a junior...Went 15-1 in dual meets and 7-1 in Big Ten duals...Earned first All-America honor with third place finish at 141...Six majors, one tech, three pins.
Lock Haven (11/11): Majored Lock Haven’s Ty Linsenbigler 10-0 in Rec Hall and first match at 141.Black Knight (11/20): Went 4-0 with a major and a tech to win Black Knight title at 141. Rider (12/2): Pinned McKenzie Bell late in the fourth (6:08) in Trenton. Lehigh (12/4): Downed #30 Malyke Hines 8-4. Oregon State (12/11): Downed #24 Cleveland Belton. Collegiate Duals (12/19-20): Pinned CMU’s Jimmy Nugent (4:09). Downed #25 Lachlan McNeil of North Carolina 4-1. Beat Iowa State’s Zach Redding 8-3. Wisconsin (1/6): Majored Felix Lettini 12-3. Michigan (1/20): Strong 7-2 win over #23 Cole Mattin in BJC Dual. Michigan State (1/22): Beat Jordan Hamdan 7-1. Iowa (1/27): Suffered first loss of season to #2 Real Woods, 4-1. Ohio State (2/3): Beat #19 Dylan D’Emilio 4-2. Indiana (2/5): Pinned Joey Showalter in just :12. Rutgers (2/10): Majored #19 Joseph Olivieri 12-1. Maryland (2/12): Posted 5-2 win over Kal Miller in Rec Hall. Clarion (2/19): Majored Seth Koleno 12-4 in dual finale.
Big Ten Championships (3/4-5): Placed third at Big Tens, going 3-1. Beat #28 Cole Mattin of Michigan before dropping semifinal match to #6 Brock Hardy of Nebraska. Rebounded to beat #13 Parker Filius of Purdue and #19 Dylan D’Emilio of Ohio State to take third.
NCAA Championships (3/16-18): Earned his first All-America honor with an outstanding third place finish at 141 in Tulsa. Went 5-1 over the weekend, including a major. After wins in the first two rounds, took down #3 Cole Matthews of Pittsburgh 3-1 (tb1) in the quarterfinals. Lost tough 6-2 decision to eventual NCAA Champion #2 Andrew Alirez of Northern Colorado in national semifinals. Responded with two wins on Saturday to take third place.
2021-22 / SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Season: Posted 15-10 overall record with two majors and two falls...Became an NCAA Qualifier for the first time, wrestling up at 149.
Sacred Heart (11/13): Majored Shaun Williams 12-3. Oregon State (11/13): Posted 1-0 win over #24 Cory Crooks. Army West Point (11/18): Used takedown in extra time to beat #20 P.J.Ogunsanya 3-1 (sv). Penn: Downed #23 Anthony Artalona in a 4-3 tie-breaker. Collegiate Duals (12-20-21): Went 2-1 at Collegiate Duals in Florida with win over #28 Triston Lara of Northern Iowa and a 3-1 (sv) win over #5 Kyle Parco of Arizona State; lone loss was to #1 Yianni Diahomihalis of Cornell. Maryland (1/7): Pinned Michael North in Big Ten opener. Rutgers (2/16): Tough 4-3 tie-breaker 2 loss to #18 Michael VanBrill. Michigan (1/21): Up 6-0 on Cole Martin, then won by injury default (0:13). Michigan State (1/23): Posted 5-2 win over Peyton Omania. Ohio State (2/4): Tough last second loss to #2 Sammy Sasso, 4-2 in the BJC. Rider (2/20): 12-4 major over Bryan Maraglia in season dual finale.
Big Ten Championship (3-2, 7th Place, NCAA Qualifier): Went 3-2 to place seventh and earn an AQ at Big Tens; wins over #30 Michael Blockhus of Minnesota and #29 Christian Kanzler of Illinois.
NCAA Championships (1-2, DNP): Went 1-2 at first trip to NCAAs, wrestling up at 149. Beat #20 Colin Realbuto in opening round before falling to #4 Sammy Sasso of Ohio State and #19 Yahya Thomas of Northwestern.
2020-21 / TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON:
Season: Posted an 8-3 overall record..1-1 in duals...Moved up to 149 for Big Tens, going 1-2.
Indiana/Northwestern (1/30): Made collegiate debut in ‘extras’ during tri-meet with Indiana and Northwestern, getting a pin and two decisions to go 3-0 at 141. Wisconsin (2/2): Picked up another win in ‘extras’ at Wisconsin, downing Dominic Dentino. Michigan (2/14): Made move up to 149 for first time and downed Michigan’s Cole Mattin 8-4 in ‘extras’. Ohio State (2/19): Made Penn State dual meet debut, moving up to 149 and dropping hard-fought 5-3 decision to #2 Sammy Sasso. Maryland (2/22): Made Rec Hall dual debut, beating Hunter Baxter 9-3, also picked up a major over Lucas Cordo in ‘extras’, both at 149.
Big Ten Championships (1-2, DNP): Wrestled up a weight at 149 in Big Ten Championship debut...Went 1-2 with a pin.
