Junior Nathan Andrews has won Penn State[apos]s Academic Achievement Award, he[apos]s been an Academic All-Big Ten pick and now he[apos]s seen dual meet action for Penn State. A talented local product who has been a solid reserve for Penn State over the past two seasons heads into the 2009-10 season looking to have a bigger impact at 197 this year.
Lion Career
2008-09: Posted 6-11 overall mark in 2008-09...got wins in MSU Open and ESU Open...dual meet debut in Penn State[apos]s victory over Binghamton on Nov. 23...Also picked up two wins in Nittany Lion Open, including first career technical fall victory.
2007-08: Went 0-2 in the ESU Open and 0-1 in the Nittany Lion Open...picked up first win of the year with 9-3 victory over Franklin and Marshall[apos]s Dan Canfield at the Wilkes Open in December...went 1-1 at Wilkes...went 1-2 at Hitchcock Open at Millersville, including 14-5 major over American[apos]s Keefer Brooks...went 0-2 at Kent State Open. An outstanding student, Andrews won the team[apos]s Academic and Community Service Award after posting a 3.90 GPA in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering.
