Caitie Mayo began her first season with the Nittany Lions in 2025-2026, serving as the Athletic Performance Coach for Women’s Volleyball and Men’s/Women’s Fencing.
Mayo came from Baylor University, serving as the Athletics Performance Coach for Olympic Sports. During her time at Baylor, she worked with Equestrian, Women’s Golf, Track and Field, and Women’s Volleyball.
Prior to Baylor, Mayo worked as an Athletic Performance Coach for Charlotte Football Club’s Academy teams while interning with the Sports Performance and Sports Science Department at the Carolina Panthers.
While finishing up her master’s degree, Mayo began working at Architech Sports Performance and Physical Therapy as lead performance coach at their primary location. She worked with a variety of athletes, ranging from youth to professional athletes, managing performance and facilitating return to play protocols.
She earned both her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and her master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning while playing volleyball at Gardner-Webb University. She is dual-certified as a Certified Performance and Sports Scientist (CPSS) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.
