Jillian Monahan begins her third season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Penn State women[apos]s gymnastics program.
Monahan attended Bowling Green State University and was a four-year member of the women[apos]s gymnastics team and a two-year member of the BGSU Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in education with an emphasis in sport management enterprise.
After graduating, Monahan served as a gymnastics instructor at Buckeye Gymnastics in Westerville, Ohio and the Artistic Sports Academy Plus in Harrisburg, Pa. Since moving to State College in 2008, Monahan has served as a volunteer mentor and teaching assistant in Penn State[apos]s Morgan Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes and as the Pro Shop Manager at the State College Elks Country Club.
Monahan is married to women[apos]s gymnastics assistant coach Randy Monahan. They reside in State College.
