Jim Nachtman joined Penn State Athletics in 1999 as the Director of Broadcast Operations. In March 2015, Nachtman was named Assistant Athletic Director of Media and Video Production.
Nachtman oversees the department's projects and services across media platforms. Nachtman also serves as a vital role to the game day operations staff.
In May 2016 he was selected to receive the Sports Video Group (SVG) College Sports Summit Pioneer Award. This award celebrates those who have innovated in the fields of video production and technology at the university level and have advanced the industry at large.
Prior to his time in Athletics, Nachtman served as the Technical Director of Penn State Public Broadcasting from 1989-1999.
He received his bachelor's degree from Penn State in 1990 with a Telecommunications degree.
Nachtman lives in State College with his wife, Tina, and three children, Sarah, Katie, and Robert.
