CAREER SUMMARY
- Jon Fleury transitioned to his position as an Assistant Director of Athletic Performance for Football from his previous Performance Science role in January 2022.
- Fleury is charged with the design and organization of the program’s speed development program and also supports the Performance Science staff’s initiatives in training.
- He is also directly responsible for the physical development of the Tight End, Running Back, and Linebacker position groups. Over his time at Penn State, Fleury has contributed to the development of NFL draft picks Tyler Warren, Abdul Carter, Brenton Strange, Theo Johnson, and Kobe King.
- Fleury arrived in Happy Valley in 2018 as a member of the Applied Health & Performance Science Staff where he supported Penn State Football using athlete monitoring and performance testing technology.
- While in Happy Valley, Fleury was a part of four 10+ win seasons. Including victories in the Cotton Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl, along with 2 wins in the 2024 College Football Playoff advancing to the Semi-Finals at the Orange Bowl.
- Prior to Penn State, Fleury served on Athletic Performance staffs at Indiana University (2016-2018) and Baylor University (2015-2016). He also gained valuable intern experience in the NFL as a part of the Jacksonville Jaguars Performance Staff in 2014.
- Fleury holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Florida and a Master of Science degree from California University of Pennsylvania.
