UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. February 1, 2005 - The No. 23/23 Penn State women's basketball team plays Sunday at Purdue at 1 p.m. EST, and in addition to the current TV slate, fans can now watch the game live locally on WPSX-TV (Adelphia Channel 3). The contest will also air live on FSN Chicago, and on a tape delay on several regional FSN affiliates.
The Lady Lions (13-7, 8-1) are looking for their fifth-straight regular season win over the Boilermakers. Earlier this year Penn State outscored the Boilermakers, 48-26, in the second period to run away with a 77-54 win at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Before taking on Purdue, the Lady Lions face Michigan in Ann Arbor on Thursday. Penn State has won the last six over the Wolverines.
WPSX-TV will also air the Lady Lions' final two home contests, Feb. 17 and Feb. 20 vs. Wisconsin and Northwestern, respectively. The station also produces the Emmy-award winning show Center Court with Rene Portland. The second installment of that show is set to air on Feb. 5 at 10 p.m. EST and Feb. 6 at 11 p.m. EST.
