COLLEGE STATION, Texas; Sept. 3, 2006 - No. 3 Penn State completed its road trip to Texas Sunday with a 1-1 tie at No. 9 Texas A&M. The women??s soccer team is now 1-1-2 on the year, while the Aggies go to 3-0-1.

A scoreless first half saw Texas A&M out-shoot the Lions 8-5. The Nittany Lions got on the board first, however, in the 51st minute, breaking the scoreless tie with a goal from Aubrey Aden-Buie (Allentown, Pa.). The goal was Aden-Buie??s first of the season, with freshman Katie Schoepfer (Waterford, Conn.) assisting on a cross back to the center of the box.

Aggie forward Madison Klovstad got the equalizer Texas A&M needed when she netted her third goal of the season in the 72nd minute. Klovstad got a pass from the midfield and was able to penetrate the Lions?? defense for the score.

Despite 11 shots between the teams in the two overtimes periods, neither could find the net resulting in Penn State??s second tie of the four-game old season.

Penn State goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher and Aggie keeper Kristin Arnold both logged all 110 minutes with each tallying 10 saves.
