Ken Cutler, Director of Development for Athletics


Ken Cutler returned to Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics in 2005 and was named Director of Development for Athletics in June 2006.

Cutler oversees all development initiatives for Intercollegiate Athletics, including planning and implementing all fundraising programs for the department. Among his responsibilities are leadership for the ??Success with Honor??A Campaign for the Penn State Way,?? campaign, launched in 2003 with a goal of raising $100 million in philanthropic support for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Cutler earned a degree in communications from Queens College and a master??s in sports administration from Ohio State. He worked with the Richmond Braves Baseball Club before starting a career in higher education fundraising at Virginia Commonwealth University from 1984-91. He came to Penn State in 1991 and served as Director of Development for Athletics until 1998, when he was named Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at the University of Connecticut.

In 2002, Cutler returned to Penn State as Director of University Programs and directed fundraising for a variety of programs, including the Schreyer Honors College, Student Affairs and the Penn State Alumni Association. He was named Campaign Director in Athletics in 2005.
