UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; June 6, 2007 ?C Penn State officials expect a prompt and heavy response when the 2007 student season football ticket online sale begins Thursday, June 7 at 9:00 a.m. ET.

More than 21,000 season tickets will be available for the vociferous and enthusiastic student section, called the nation??s best by ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit during a visit to Beaver Stadium during the 2005 season. Penn State has made an additional 520 student season tickets available this year compared to 2006.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis online at www.ticketmaster.com/venue/16740. Students are asked to have a valid credit card and their Student ID number on hand before beginning the purchase process. All tickets must be purchased with a credit card.

As soon as all tickets are sold, the sale will promptly end. All successful ticket purchases will result in the issue of a confirmation number.

All eligible Penn State students have been sent via email and U.S. Mail the instructions for participating in the sale.

Student season football tickets are $190.00 for the blockbuster, seven-game home schedule this fall.

In addition to the opportunity to purchase football season tickets, students also can order 2007-08 Nittany Lion and Lady Lion basketball tickets ($59.00 and $25.00, respectively), as well this year's Official White Out Shirt ($15.00) and a Student Nittany Lion Club membership ($25.00). All processing, handling and fulfillment fees are included in this pricing.
