Former Nittany Lion John Greene To Host Football Season Preview

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Former Nittany Lion Football co-captain John Greene will be the speaker at the "2007 Penn State Football Season Preview" event in Langhorne, Pa., on Wednesday, Aug. 29. Greene will be giving his insight and knowledge of the 2007 edition of the Nittany Lions.

Greene, who is originally from Youngstown, Ohio, is currently the Associate Director of Development with the Nittany Lion Club. He was a member of the 1986 National Championship Team and was also a member of the 1985 squad that played Oklahoma in the Orange bowl for the national title. As a senior, he served as offensive co-captain during his senior season when he played as a fullback. He also played tailback and safety during his Penn State career.

The Delaware Valley Chapter of the Nittany Lion Club is hosting the event. The event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Langhorne. The cash bar opens at 6 p.m. with dinner following at 7 p.m. Admission for the event is $37 per person and dress is casual. An evening raffle will include two tickets to the Nittany Lion Club Suite for the Notre Dame game.
