HANAHAN, S.C. - After the three rounds of the Cougar Classic, the Nittany Lions finished in a disappointing 19th place out of the 20 competing teams.
Senior Christin Pacacha shot par for the third round and regained the lead for the Nittany Lions with a final score of 227. Sophomore Katherine Murphy shot 79 on the final day of the Cougar Classic, giving her a three-round score of 230.
Freshmen Giulia Carando and Brianna Malcolmson competed in their first collegiate tournament finishing with scores of 241 and 244, respectively.
Notre Dame finished in first place with a score of six-over 870. Tennessee finished one stroke behind in second place with a score of 871. Individually, Notre Dame's Lisa Maunu finished in first place with a score of 210.
The Nittany Lions will next compete in the Lady Northern, hosted by Penn State, on Saturday, September 22.
