UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Nittany Lions shot a three-round score of 935 to finish the Nittany Lion Invitational in third place. Princeton, with a score of 910, finished the competition in first place.
Senior Christin Pacacha and sophomore Katherine Murphy led the Nittany Lions with tied tenth place finishes and scores of 232. Freshman Brianna Malcolmson finished the competition only two strokes behind in a tied 15 th place. Sara Lester and Megan Padua were also a part of the Nittany Lion team. Senior Emily Pavesich and freshmen Guilia Carando and Kelly Osborne competed as individuals.
Lauren Bavaird of Western Michigan University was the top finisher of the tournament with the three-round score of 223. Princeton's Susannah Aboff, who led the competition after the first two rounds, finished in second place, only one stroke behind Bavaird.
The women's golf team will next compete in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Seattle, Wash. from Monday, October 8 until Wednesday, October 10.
