SAMMAMISH, Wash. - After three rounds in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, the women's golf team finished in 16 th place out of the 16 teams competing, completing the tournament with a score of 963. Southern California led the competition and finished in first place with a score of 882.
Senior Christin Pacacha led the Nittany Lions throughout the tournament and finished with a three-round score of 237. Freshman Brianna Malcolmson shot 80 in the third round and finished four strokes behind Pacacha with a score of 241. After two consecutive rounds with scores of 84, Sara Lester shot 77 in the third round, the best score of the team for that round. Katherine Murphy and Megan Padua also participated in the competition.
Individually, Belen Mozo of Southern California and Alison Walshe of Arizona tied for first place in the tournament.
The Nittany Lions will complete their fall season with the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. beginning on Oct. 26.
