UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Two members of the Penn State women's tennis team will head to Norfolk, Va. this weekend to compete at the NCAA/ITA East Regionals.
Senior Jenny Shular (Peachtree City, Ga.) will compete in singles and sophomore Sarah Lotto (Toronto, Ontario) will join Shular in doubles competition. Shular and Lotto will face Virginia's Amanda Rales and Jennifer Stevens at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Shular will take on Army's Niki Flach later in the day at 2:30 p.m.
"The regional tournament in the fall is a great event," said head coach Dawna Prevette. "Jenny has been steadily improving throughout the fall and she and Lotto are a very solid doubles team."
After this weekend the Nittany Lions will have a week off before hosting the Penn State Invitational Nov. 9-11 at the Sarni Tennis Center.
