WILMINGTON, N.C - After three rounds of the Landfall Tradition, the final tournament of the fall season, the Nittany Lions finished in 11 th place out of the 12 competing teams.
Senior Christin Pacacha shot an impressive two-under 70 in round three, for a three-round score of nine-over 225. With a third round score of six-over 78, Sara Lester finished the competition with a final score of 232. Brianna Malcolmson, Katherine Murphy, and Giulia Carando also competed for the Nittany Lions in the Landfall Tradition.
Wake Forest won the tournament with a score of 14-over 878. Purdue, who led going into round two of the tournament, finished in second place with a score of 23-over 887. Nannette Hill of Wake Forest won the competition individually after she shot four-over 76 in the final round and finished with a three-round score of one-over 217.
The women's golf team will next compete in the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, S.C. beginning on Sunday, March 9, 2008.
