Penn State-Temple Football Game Set for 12:00 p.m. Kick on ESPNU

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; October 29, 2007 - ESPNU will nationally televise Penn State's contest at Temple on Saturday, November 10. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field.

The contest with the Owls is the Nittany Lions' 11th announced TV appearance of the season. On Saturday, the Lions (6-3, 3-3) will be making their third appearance of the season on ESPN, hosting Purdue at 12:00 p.m. on Senior Day. ESPN also aired Penn State's 31-10 primetime win over Notre Dame on Sept. 8 and its 36-31 win at Indiana on Oct. 20.

Penn State also has made four appearances on ABC, against Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan. Penn State has appeared on the Big Ten Network against FIU, Buffalo and Illinois.

Penn State and Temple will be meeting for the second consecutive year and 36th time overall.

The Nittany Lions lead the series, 32-3-1, winning 47-0 last year in Beaver Stadium. Penn State will be playing in Philadelphia for the first time since 1994. Temple (3-5) is led by second year coach Al Golden, who lettered for the Nittany Lions at tight end from 1989-91.

Temple brings a three-game winning streak into its Mid-American Conference game at Ohio on Friday before the contest with the Nittany Lions. The Owls were idle last week.

A limited number of tickets for the Penn State-Temple game are still available. Tickets may be purchased via phone at 215-336-2000 or by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com.

Penn State students can purchase a ticket to the Temple game at Gate B (northeast corner) of the Bryce Jordan Center beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30. Tickets will be made available on a first-come, first served basis. Each student will be permitted to purchase one $50 ticket and must present a valid Penn State student identification card to secure a ticket. All sales of all tickets will be done on a cash only basis. Credit cards and checks will not be accepted.

Students wanting to purchase tickets so that they may sit together at the game will need to make their ticket purchase together at Gate B of the BJC Tuesday morning.

In their 15th season of Big Ten competition, the Nittany Lions have appeared on television in 160 of their last 162 games. Future Penn State contests may be selected by the networks under the six and 12-day provisions of their contracts with the Big Ten.
