EVANSTON, Ill.; - With three second-half goals, No. 11 Penn State stayed perfect in Big Ten with a 3-1 win at Northwestern Sunday. Senior tri-captain Aubrey Aden-Buie (Allentown, Pa.) exploded for back-to-back scores and sophomore Katie Schoepfer (Waterford, Conn.) added PSU's third goal of the day.

Play was scoreless the first half with Northwestern drawing first blood early in the second period when Jennifer Baumann found the back of the net off a failed clear attempt in the 49th minute.

It took the Nittany Lions until the 61:02 mark to tie it up at 1-1 when Aden-Buie netter her first goal off a helper from Melissa Hayes (Cave Creek, Ariz.). Aden-Buie struck again in the 74th minute, depositing the gamewinner off a Schoepfer assist.

Schoepfer got her own goal in the 82nd minute to cap the Nittany Lions' 3-1 victory off a Megan Monroig (Northumberland, Pa.). The points marked the eighth-straight game that Schoepfer has either scored or had an assist dating back to the James Madison game on Sept. 14.

The Nittany Lions are back at Jeffrey Field this Homecoming Weekend vs. Michigan State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Michigan on Sunday at noon.
