UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Two-time All-American midfielder Ali Krieger (Dumfries, Va.) has been selected to the U.S. Women's National Team's 20-man roster for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament, as announced today by U.S. Soccer. One of seven midfielders in the group, which is under the direction of first-year head coach Pia Sundhage, Krieger and her U.S teammates will head to Foshan, China on Tuesday to prepare for the Jan. 16-20 tournament slate. The Four Nations Tournament will aid in Sundhage's evaluation of the player pool as well as her selection of the USA's Olympic qualifying roster and ultimately the roster for the 2008 Olympics games in Beijing, China.

A two-time All-American whose team won four Big Ten titles during her tenure, Krieger was a first team NSCAA All-American in 2006 as a defender and earned honors in 2005 as a midfielder. A semifinalist for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy her senior year, she was also named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region first team by the NSCAA and was the 2006 Mid-Atlantic Player of the Year by Soccer Buzz Magazine.
