The 12th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team takes to the road to face No. 10 Arkansas on Friday, Jan. 25 at 8:00 p.m., at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville, Ark. Live scoring and video (for a fee) will be available via a link at www.GoPSUsports.com.

The Series: Penn State vs. Arkansas
Penn State leads Arkansas, 2-1, in a series that began in 2006. The last meeting was a 194.850-193.600 Arkansas victory on Jan. 13, 2007 at Rec Hall. The last Nittany Lion win in the series was a 194.575-192.800 victory at the Super Six Challenge hosted by Arkansas on Jan. 5, 2007. Penn State also claimed the first meeting in the series at Barnhill Arena with a 194.650-194.575 win on Feb. 3, 2006.

Personett Named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week
Penn State sophomore women's gymnast Brandi Personett was named the Big Ten Women's Gymnast of the Week, conference officials announced on Wednesday, Jan. 23. It is the second career weekly honor for Personett as she was also recognized on Jan. 5, 2007, and it is the first of the year for the Nittany Lions. Personett was also named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year last season and captured the conference vault and all-around titles at the 2007 Big Ten Championships.

Personett claimed her first all-around title of the season and the fifth of her career with a season-high 39.350 Saturday night against No. 6 Michigan. The sophomore captured the vault and floor titles with season-highs of 9.900 on each, also scoring a career-high 9.825 on bars and a season-high 9.725 on beam, finishing within the top six in each of the four events.

The Nittany Lions return home on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2:00 p.m. to host West Virginia in a meet that will also be a double-dual with the top-ranked Penn State men's team against No. 7 Minnesota.
