Greensboro, N.C.- The women's golf team shot 331 in the final round of the Bryan National Collegiate, ten strokes better than their second round score and four strokes better than their first round score.
Freshman Brianna Malcolmson led the Nittany Lions through rounds two and three and finished with a score of 248. After continuous rounds of improvement, senior Christin Pacacha finished only one shot behind Malcolmson. Pacacha, along with freshman Victoria Arena, shot eight-over 80 for the third round, the highest scores for the team.
Arkansas' Stacy Lewis won the competition individually with a three-round score of five-over 216. Amanda Blumenherst of Duke finished in second place, one stroke behind Lewis. Although Duke held the lead through rounds one and two, the University of Florida finished in first place with a score of 906. Duke shot a three-round score of 908.
The Nittany Lions will next compete in the Indiana Invitational beginning on Monday, April 7.
