Columbus, Ohio - After three rounds of the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, the Nittany Lions finished in sixth place out of the 12 competing teams. The team shot 314 in round three, giving them a total score of 946.
Junior Sara Lester lead the team throughout the competition, finishing in fifth place overall with a three-round score of eight-over 224. Freshmen Victoria Arena and Brianna Malcolmson both saw improvement in the final round, with scores of 78 and 77, respectively.
No. 13 ranked Kent State held on to first place throughout the tournament. The team had a total score of 21-over 885. Michigan State's Sara Brown won individually, with a score of 216.
Next weekend, the women's golf team will host the Big Ten Tournament, held at the Penn State Blue Course. The competition will begin on Friday, April 25 and conclude on Sunday, April 27.
