Big Ten Tournament Continues to be Led by Purdue

University Park, Pa. - Purdue continues to lead the Big Ten Women's Golf Tournament after the third round of play. The team shot two-under 286 today to give them a three-round score of 872. Purdue leads second place Michigan State by 18 strokes.

Penn State is tied with Iowa for ninth place after three rounds. The Nittany Lions shot 23-over 311 today, bringing the team's score to 60-over 924. Senior Christin Pacacha shot four-over 76 and leads the team going into the final round of the competition. Junior Sara Lester improved her score from the previous two rounds and is currently only two strokes behind Pacacha.

Purdue's Maria Hernandez shot six-under 66, giving her a three-round score of four-under 212 and placing her in first place after today's round. Hernandez had a total of four birdies and one eagle in round three alone. Teammate Christel Boeljon is currently in second place and trails Hernandez by six strokes.

The fourth and final round of the Big Ten Women's Golf Tournament will begin at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
